Victoria Falls:

The awe-inspiring beauty and the immense size and power of the water passing over the Falls has made it one of the natural wonders of the world and a highlight of any Zambian holiday.

Known by the locals as the ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ - ‘the Smoke that Thunders’ as the 546 million cubic meters of water that falls per minute throws up a spray high into the sky that can be seen from miles away.

This area is well known as the 'adventure capital' offering adrenalin-packed activities on and around the Falls and the Zambezi River

Zambezi River:

zambezi

The Zambezi is Africa’s fourth largest River system, after the Nile, Zaire and Niger Rivers. It runs through six countries on its journey from central Africa to the Indian Ocean. Its unique value is that it is less developed than others in terms of human settlement and many areas along its banks enjoy protected wilderness status.

The River’s beauty has attracted tourists from all over the world and it provides power, food, pleasure and transport for many and a home for untold numbers of wildlife along its journey.

kariba

Kariba:

This is Africa's largest man made dam, 226km long and in places up to 40 km wide. It provides considerable electric power to both Zambia and Zimbabwe and supports a thriving commercial fishing industry.

The sheer size of it makes one forget it's a dam and in certain places it almost feels like an ocean! It is Zambia's undiscovered Riviera offering spectacular views, stunning sunsets, great fishing, boating opportunities, water sports or wonderful relaxing holidays or weekends just soaking up the sunshine.

Kafue National Park:

kafueZambia’s oldest park, proclaimed in 1950. The park, at 22 400 square kilometres, is the size of Wales and twice the size of Yellowstone National Park in the USA. The park affords an excellent opportunity to view a wide diversity of game and birds.

The beauty of the Kafue is at its best after the rains in the first half of the year. For game viewing, however, the best period to visit the game lodge is in the dry season which runs from April to October. During the rainy season between November and April many of the Kafue National Park’s and other parks in Zambia, internal roads become inaccessible so visiting the game lodge can be a bit tricky
